Acres Of Diamonds by Russell H. Conwell

Russell Herman Conwell is the founder and first president of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is well known for his lecture and book on Acres Of Diamonds. Conwell has been delivering and motivating people more than thousands over times around the world. He emphasized that every man has the opportunity to make more of himself than he does in his own environment, within his own skill, capability, energy and friends. The main theme of the idea of the work is that you need not look elsewhere and afar for opportunity, achievement, or fortune. The resources is available right in front of your own community. This book started by an introductory anecdote, of an Arab guide, who wanted to find diamonds so badly that he sold his property and went off in relentless search and pursuit. The new owner of his property discovered a rich diamond mine, in the location right on the property that is left and sold by the previous Arab guide. Conwell delivered further by showing examples of successes of ordinary people. It is an inspirational book to read, and a reminder of that "The Grass is not Always Greener at The Other Side."
